Durham Region posts Feb. 23 details on free tax clinics offered across the region

Durham Region posted details Feb. 23 about free tax clinics available across the region for residents with low or no income who have a simple tax situation, offering help filing income taxes at no cost.

The region says filing an income tax return is required to access more than 40 income benefits available in Ontario. In its notice, Durham Region said these benefits can help with everyday costs such as housing, food and utilities.

According to Durham Region’s announcement, the free clinics are offered in three formats: in-person, drop-off and virtual.
