Durham Region Requests Feedback on Bicycle Parking Guidelines

The Region of Durham is seeking resident input through an online survey as part of its Bicycle Parking Guidelines Project. According to the Region, the survey is open until July 28, 2025.

The survey aims to collect feedback on bicycle parking in public spaces, including community and recreation centres, libraries, transit stops, parks, and post-secondary schools. The Region states that responses will help shape new guidelines for bike parking. Survey topics include options for e-bikes and e-scooters, as announced by the Region.

The Bicycle Parking Guidelines Project was recommended in the 2021 Durham Regional Cycling Plan. The Region indicates that a Public Information Centre about the project will be held in the fall. Information about subscribing to project updates is available on the Region’s website.
