Durham Region says Oshawa Ontario Works office at Midtown Mall closed this week due to flooding

Durham Region says the Ontario Works office at Midtown Mall, 200 John Street West in Oshawa, will remain closed this week because of flooding.

The Midtown Mall office provides in-person Ontario Works service in Oshawa. During the closure, the region says clients can still access some Ontario Works supports at nearby locations.

Durham Region says clients may visit the Community Resource Centre on the second floor of 200 John Street West in Oshawa for limited supports.

Ontario Works services and supports are also available at Durham Region headquarters, 605 Rossland Road East in Whitby, according to the region.

Durham Region did not give a reopening date in its Feb. 5 update, saying only that the Oshawa office will remain closed this week to allow for cleaning and repairs.
