Durham Region Schedules Lane Restrictions on Taunton Road in Clarington Beginning July 28

Durham Region has announced upcoming lane restrictions on Taunton Road (Regional Road 4) in Clarington, with work scheduled to begin the week of July 28 and continue until December. The affected area stretches from east of Townline Road to west of Enfield Road (Regional Road 34).

According to Durham Region, the lane restrictions are required for road reconstruction. The Region states that unfavourable weather conditions may affect the construction schedule.

Durham Region indicated that access to residential driveways will be maintained whenever possible during the construction. Residents will be notified if they need to move their vehicles from driveways temporarily.

Businesses along Taunton Road will remain open for the duration of the project, according to the Region. Information and resources for businesses regarding construction impacts are available at durham.ca/OpenForBusiness.
