Durham Region seeks comments by June 1 on proposed Brock Road–Goodwood Road roundabout in Uxbridge

Durham Region is proposing a single-lane roundabout at the intersection of Brock Road (Regional Road 1) and Goodwood Road (Regional Road 21) in the Township of Uxbridge, and is asking for public comments by June 1.

If built, the project would change a key intersection on the regional road network in Uxbridge. Durham Region says the work is intended to address traffic flow and safety at the location.

According to the region, the proposal would convert the existing intersection into a roundabout and add an eastbound truck climbing lane.

Durham Region has posted a public information package with project background material and a preliminary design at durham.ca/BrockGoodwoodRoundabout.

The region’s notice did not provide a construction timeline or a cost estimate.
