Durham Region seeks vendors for Oct. 31 disability employment conference in Ajax

Durham Region announced on Sept. 26 that it is inviting vendors that provide services, products or solutions for people with disabilities to take part in the Durham Region Disability Employment Conference on Thursday, Oct. 31, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ajax Convention Centre, 550 Beck Crescent in Ajax. Vendor spaces are free, limited, and require pre-registration.

According to the Region, the one-day conference focuses on inclusive employment practices and is intended for businesses and organizations that support the disability community. The event is organized in partnership with Ontario Tech University and the Town of Whitby.

Durham Region says the program will include an interactive vendor expo. It also lists keynote speakers from the disability and employment sectors. Breakout sessions are planned on inclusive hiring and work environments.

The Region posted the notice on its website with a Whitby dateline on Sept. 26.
