Durham Region Transit routes 902, 502 and 505 detoured overnight in downtown Bowmanville for snow removal

Durham Region Transit routes 902, 502 and 505 detoured in downtown Bowmanville overnight Wednesday, Jan. 28 into Thursday, Jan. 29, because of snow removal work on King Street.

The detour affected how buses travelled through the downtown area and where riders could board during the overnight service window.

Durham Region Transit listed temporary stops on southbound Scugog Street and on southbound Liberty Street north of King Street.

Route 902 eastbound ran via Scugog Street, Church Street and Liberty Street, according to the transit agency’s service notice. Route 902 westbound ran via Ontario Street, Queen Street and Scugog Street.

Route 502 ran both directions via Scugog Street and King Street.

Route 505 eastbound ran via Church Street and Liberty Street. Route 505 westbound ran via Liberty Street, Wellington Street and Scugog Street.

Durham Region Transit said the detour period ran from 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28 to 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 29.
