Durham Region Transit survey on accessibility plan open until Feb. 6

Durham Region Transit (DRT) is asking residents to complete a survey to help shape its accessibility plan, with the survey open until Feb. 6, according to a DRT news release.

The survey is intended to gather feedback about accessibility barriers in DRT’s services and infrastructure. For riders in Durham Region, the results could affect how the agency plans future accessibility-related changes across the transit system.

DRT said the survey asks for input on barriers affecting people who use its transit services and facilities as it develops an accessibility plan.

The survey is available online at DurhamRegionTransit.com/Survey.

Paper copies are available at the front counter of Durham Region Headquarters, 605 Rossland Road East in Whitby, and at the Durham Region Transit customer service front counter, 110 Westney Road South in Ajax, the release said.

DRT posted the release on its website Jan. 13.

DRT did not say what specific changes it is considering for the plan or when it expects to complete it.
