Durham Region Transit To Add Afternoon Trip on Route 227 for Ajax High School

Durham Region Transit (DRT) will add a new afternoon trip to Route 227 beginning Monday, June 2. The additional trip is scheduled to depart the Ajax GO station at 3:36 p.m. and pass by Ajax High School between 3:40 and 3:45 p.m., depending on traffic. The trip will operate in the clockwise direction.

According to DRT, this schedule change is intended to better match school dismissal times and provide another transportation option for students traveling home in the afternoon.

The added trip is planned for the month of June and, as stated by DRT, will return in September as part of the regular Route 227 schedule. DRT has advised students to consult their schedules and use the Transit App for planning their travel.
