Durham Region Waste Collection Delayed One Day for Canada Day Week

Residents in Ajax, Brock, Clarington, Pickering, Scugog, and Uxbridge will have their regular curbside waste collection shifted to the following day during the week of July 1, according to the Regional Municipality of Durham. This adjustment is due to the Canada Day holiday on Tuesday, July 1.

The change affects all households in the listed municipalities whose waste collection falls that week. Friday collections will be moved to Saturday, July 5, for that week only.

According to the Region, Waste Management Facilities in Brock, Scugog, and Oshawa, as well as the Household Special Waste Depot in Clarington, will be closed on Tuesday, July 1. These sites will resume their usual operating hours on Wednesday, July 2.
