Free drop-in screening of NFB film ‘A Return to Memory’ at Bowmanville Library Nov. 10
Clarington Library, Museums & Archives will host a free, drop-in screening of the National Film Board film A Return to Memory for adults on Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Bowmanville Library, 163 Church St., Bowmanville.
Admission is free and no registration is required. The program is labeled “Adults | Drop in.”
Released in 2024 and directed by Donald McWilliams, the 116-minute film examines the National Film Board’s wartime years and the roles women held at the then-new agency.
The film combines archival material with animation by NFB infographics artist Mélanie Bouchard.
Set during the Second World War, it looks at the hundreds of women who joined the newly formed National Film Board while many men served in the war, and the work they produced at the agency.
