Hak Brand Kale and Spinach Recalled Over Rubber Contamination in Three Provinces

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency announced on May 15, 2025, that Hak brand Kale and Spinach products have been recalled due to the possible presence of pieces of rubber. The products were distributed in Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario.

According to the agency, the recall affects Hak Kale products in 340 gram (UPC 8720600608605) and 680 gram (UPC 8720600609824) sizes, and Hak Spinach products in 330 gram (UPC 8720600608940) and 630 gram (UPC 8720600609817) sizes. All impacted products have codes from LG262 up to and including LG292.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency advises not to use, sell, serve, or distribute the affected products. The recall is being conducted by Global Reach Confections & More Inc. and is classified as Class 3. The recall notice lists the audience as retail operations in Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario.
