How to reach Men’s Counselling Link in Durham: dial 2-1-1

Durham Region says residents can reach Men’s Counselling Link by dialing 2-1-1 and asking for “Men’s Counselling Link.” The region posted the information on Jan. 28.

The listing provides a single access point for men in Durham Region who are looking for counselling or other supports, using the 2-1-1 phone line.

Men’s Counselling Link offers free, confidential virtual or in-person counselling, Durham Region said.

According to the region’s posting, the service is intended to help men navigate relationship challenges, anger or harmful behaviour toward others.

The program can also connect callers with other services, including food supports, employment services and income assistance, Durham Region said.

Men’s Counselling Link is a province-wide initiative provided by 211 Ontario and Family Service Ontario, the region said.

In Durham Region, 2-1-1 navigators connect male-identifying callers aged 16 and older with Family Services Durham for specialized support, according to the region’s posting.
