JC Green recalls certain Jonny Chronic cannabis for overstated THC/CBD; 4,659 units sold in five provinces
JC Green Cannabis Inc. is recalling certain Jonny Chronic dried cannabis and pre-roll products because labels overstated total THC and CBD, Health Canada announced December 9, 2025. The recall involves 4,659 units sold between September 19 and December 4, 2025, through authorized retailers in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Health Canada and the company said they have not received any complaints or adverse reaction reports related to the recalled lots.
The labels on the affected products list higher cannabinoid values than laboratory results. The recall was triggered after JC Green Cannabis Inc. conducted additional non-routine testing, according to Health Canada.

Package labels for the recalled lots list Total THC at 285 mg/g and Total CBD at 0.6 mg/g. Testing found actual Total THC values ranging from 139.7 mg/g to 155.7 mg/g, with Total CBD less than 0.6 mg/g, depending on the lot.
The products were distributed through provincial cannabis retailers, including the Ontario Cannabis Store and other authorized outlets in the affected provinces. Health Canada advised consumers to verify whether their product matches any of the recalled names and lot numbers and to contact the store where they purchased it if they wish to return it. The department said consumers can report health or safety complaints about cannabis products using the federal Cannabis Reporting Form online.
