Lane restrictions on Regional Road 57 in Scugog expected to last until late July 2026
Lane restrictions on Regional Road 57 in Scugog are in effect from 70 metres south of Shirley Road (Regional Road 19) to 700 metres north of Edgerton Road and are expected to continue until the end of July 2026, according to Durham Region.
The restrictions are part of a road project that could affect travel through the area for more than a year.
Durham Region says the work includes repaving Regional Road 57, constructing new road shoulders and replacing steel guide rails.
The region said the work may be disruptive and that it will make every effort to complete it as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Durham Region asked drivers to exercise caution in the area for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
