Lane Restrictions on Salem Road North in Ajax Scheduled for May 20 to July 15

The Region of Durham has announced lane restrictions on Salem Road North in Ajax from May 20 to July 15. These restrictions will take place at the intersection of Blowers Crescent and Salem Road North, as well as 150 metres both north and south of this intersection. According to the Region, the schedule may change depending on weather conditions.

The planned lane restrictions are relevant for drivers and local residents who may experience delays or changes in usual traffic patterns. The work may affect anyone using this section of Salem Road North during the construction period.

The Region stated that the lane restrictions are required to extend an existing culvert on Salem Road North. The work will also include the installation of a centre median, both north and south of the intersection with Blowers Crescent.

The Region of Durham has asked drivers to exercise caution in the area for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists, and work crews. A live map of ongoing construction projects and current traffic information is available at durham.ca/TrafficWatch, as noted in the Region’s advisory.

Westney Transit Front Counter in Ajax to Close for Maintenance on Select Dates
