Lane Restrictions Planned for Bloor Street East in Oshawa Beginning July 7

Lane restrictions are scheduled on Bloor Street East in Oshawa from July 7 to July 25, according to Durham Region. The restrictions will be in place from 25 metres west of Wilson Road South to 25 metres east of Wilson Road South, including the intersection at Wilson Road South. The schedule may change if weather conditions are unfavourable, Durham Region advises.

Durham Region states the restrictions are necessary for the installation of a new sanitary sewer and for repairs to the existing watermain at the intersection. The Region acknowledges that the work may be disruptive for area residents and drivers.

The Region is asking drivers to use caution in the area for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists, and construction crews. Updates on construction projects and traffic information can be found on the Region’s Traffic Watch website at durham.ca/TrafficWatch.
