Lane Restrictions Scheduled for Regional Highway 2 in Clarington Through September

Durham Region has announced that lane restrictions will be in place on Regional Highway 2 in Clarington from July 17 through September. The affected sections are from west of Ovens Road to 30 metres west of Newtonville Road (Regional Road 18), and from 120 metres east of Newtonville Road to east of East Townline Road.

According to Durham Region, these lane restrictions are necessary for road resurfacing. The project will involve removing, rejuvenating, and replacing the existing surface asphalt. The expected work schedule may be affected by unfavourable weather conditions, the Region stated.
