Lane restrictions scheduled on Brock Road in Pickering from May 11 to 29

Lane restrictions are scheduled on Brock Road (Regional Road 1) in Pickering from May 11 to May 29, affecting the stretch from 120 metres north of Williams Jackson Drive/Dersan Street to 230 metres south of Rex Heath Drive/Zents Drive.

The work is tied to a new development and could slow traffic through this part of Brock Road during the scheduled dates.

Durham Region said the lane restrictions are needed “to safely facilitate a new development.” The region’s notice describes the work limits using measured distances from the nearby intersections.

Unfavourable weather could affect the schedule, Durham Region said.

Durham Region asked drivers to exercise caution in the area for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
