Lane shifts scheduled for Thickson Road North in Whitby from August 11 to 22

The Regional Municipality of Durham has announced lane shifts for Thickson Road North in Whitby, scheduled between August 11 and 22, 2025, during daytime hours. The changes will affect both northbound and southbound lanes between Glengowan Street and a point 250 metres north of Conlin Road. According to the Region, one lane in each direction will remain open, with traffic lanes shifted to maintain continuous flow.

The Region stated these lane shifts are needed to safely complete soils investigation related to development in the area. The schedule may change if weather conditions are unfavourable.

The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising drivers to exercise caution in the area for the safety of work crews.
