Lane shifts scheduled on Thickson Road North in Brooklin from August to October

Durham Region has announced that lane shifts will take place on Thickson Road North in the Brooklin community of Whitby between August 5 and October 31. Both northbound and southbound lanes will be affected from a point 250 metres south of Columbus Road to a point 250 metres north of Columbus Road. The Region noted that unfavourable weather conditions may affect the schedule.

According to Durham Region, the lane shifts are necessary to allow for the safe construction of new intersections. This may result in disruptions for drivers and other road users in the area.
