Local Fox Family Prompts Safety Advisory in Courtice

The residents of Courtice are being advised to maintain distance from a fox family that has taken up residence in the area. This advice comes from Clarington’s Animal Services Division, which has issued guidelines to ensure both community safety and wildlife protection.

The fox family, consisting of a mother and her kits, is currently living locally as the mother tends to the young. The Animal Services Division advises that residents should not approach the foxes, but rather observe them from a respectful distance. This will help ensure the animals are not disturbed and can eventually move on as the kits mature.

The fox family is expected to leave once the young are self-sufficient and ready to forage on their own. It is essential for residents to adhere to these recommendations to promote a peaceful coexistence with the local wildlife.
