Aciff Williams, a graduate of Durham College’s General Arts and Science – Science and Engineering Preparation program, plans to continue his studies in astrophysics at Ontario Tech University, according to a profile published by Durham College on June 16, 2025.

Williams said his interest in science and space began after attending a Durham College Open House, where Academic Advisor Angie Wood directed him to the program. He described his experience in the program as fast paced but enjoyable and noted that faculty support helped him maintain solid grades.

According to Williams, developing skills in managing assignment deadlines and balancing school with other aspects of life prepared him for future university studies. He stated that the program allowed him to identify his strengths and weaknesses in science, which helped shape his academic goals.

Graduating from the program, Williams said, represents a meaningful milestone in his educational pathway. He reported that he is preparing to pursue further studies in astrophysics and expressed hope to contribute in the field of space research after completing his degree.
