Main Street in Orono to close overnight Feb. 3–4 for snow removal

Main Street in Orono will be closed overnight between Station Street and Mill Street from 11 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, to 7 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, while Clarington crews clear excess snow, according to the Municipality of Clarington.

The overnight closure affects traffic through downtown Orono during the work window, and the municipality says residents may hear noise from snow-clearing equipment.

In its notice dated Feb. 2, the Municipality of Clarington said the Main Street closure is intended to support snow removal in the downtown area.

The municipality also asked drivers to avoid overnight parking in the affected area while crews are working.

Vehicles left overnight may be ticketed or towed, the municipality said.

Clarington crews may also clear additional side streets in downtown Orono if time permits, according to the notice.
