Man Dies After Shooting in Ajax GO Station Parking Lot

A man died after being shot in the parking lot of the Ajax GO station at 110 Westney Road on Sunday, June 22, 2025. Durham Regional Police reported that officers responded to an ambulance call at approximately 11:30 p.m. and found an unconscious male with gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre, where he later died from his injuries.

The incident marks the fourth homicide in Durham Region in 2025, according to police. Investigators are searching for a suspect who has not been located. Durham Regional Police are seeking video footage from the area, especially between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m., which is when officers believe the shooting occurred.

Police said anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Hollister of the Homicide Unit at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5414. Police added that anonymous tips can be submitted to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at www.durhamregionalcrimestoppers.ca.
