Man Hospitalized After Stabbing in Oshawa; Suspect Sought by Durham Police
A man was taken to hospital after a stabbing in Oshawa on Monday morning, according to Durham police. Officers responded to a call in the area of Simcoe Street South and John Street shortly after 8:00 a.m. on June 10.
Police said the male victim was found with stab wounds and was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Durham police reported that the suspect left the scene before officers arrived. Investigators described the suspect as a Black man, between 20 and 30 years old, wearing a black jacket, grey hoodie, black track pants with white lettering, and black shoes. The suspect was last seen running east on John Street, according to police.
Police said the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Durham police.
