Man Shot in Pickering Neighbourhood; Police Seek Information

A man was shot in a residential neighbourhood near Woodview Avenue and Hogarth Street in Pickering at about 3:40 a.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025, according to Durham Regional Police.

Police have stated that they believe it is an isolated incident.

According to police, members of West Division responded after receiving a call about an armed person and located an adult man with a gunshot wound. Officers also found a vehicle nearby with a bullet hole. The man was taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre and, according to police, remains in stable condition.

A sedan was seen leaving the area around the time of the shooting, police said. Investigators are appealing for witnesses or anyone with video footage, including dashcam recordings, to contact the police.
