Middle Park Now Open in Bowmanville’s Northglen Neighbourhood

Residents of Bowmanville’s Northglen neighbourhood attended the opening of Middle Park at 3301 Middle Road on June 14. The new park includes a playground, paved walkways, a shade structure, a softball diamond, and a splash pad.

The addition of Middle Park provides local residents with new recreational amenities in the area. The official opening event marked the availability of these facilities for public use.

According to the Municipality of Clarington, the grand opening featured family activities such as games, a scavenger hunt focused on the park’s amenities, and refreshments including freezies. Mayor Adrian Foster invited children to press a button that activated the splash pad for the first time. Councillors attending included Mayor Foster, Ward 1 and 2 Regional Councillor Granville Anderson, Ward 1 Councillor Sami Elhajjeh, Ward 2 Councillor Lloyd Rang, Ward 3 Councillor Corinna Traill, Ward 4 Councillor Margaret Zwart, and Ward 3 and 4 Regional Councillor Willie Woo.

Middle Park is now open to the public.
