More than 180 attend 10th annual Durham College Alumni Hockey Night in Oshawa
More than 180 Durham College alumni, employees and family members attended the 10th annual DC Alumni Hockey Night in January at the Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa, according to Durham College.
For local graduates, the annual event is one of the college’s regular alumni gatherings and is held in connection with an Oshawa Generals game.
Durham College said Durham College Alumni Association president Jesara Holla dropped the ceremonial puck at centre ice, joined by college president Dr. Elaine Popp and the school’s mascot, Lou.
The college said former Durham College presidents Don Lovisa and Gary Polonsky also attended.
“I always enjoy talking to our graduates and hearing where their Durham College education has taken them,” Popp said in Durham College’s Feb. 17 online post about the event.
Kory Gray, a 1998 Graphic Design graduate, said he has attended “nearly every one of these events over the past 10 years.”
