National Public Works Week open house planned May 23 at Oshawa/Whitby Depot in Whitby
Durham Region will hold a National Public Works Week open house on Saturday, May 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Oshawa/Whitby Depot, 825 Conlin Road, in Whitby.
According to the region, the event is intended to highlight Works Department services and equipment based at the depot as part of National Public Works Week.
Activities will include children’s activities, information booths, a tour of services at the depot, a heavy equipment simulator and a Touch-a-Truck display, Durham Region said.
The region said new additions this year will include face painting and an ice cream truck.
The event will run rain or shine.
