Ocean Swallow Sesame Candy Recalled for Undeclared Peanut in Alberta, B.C., and Manitoba

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) published a notification on July 31, 2025, about a recall of Ocean Swallow brand Sesame Candy due to the presence of undeclared peanut. The recall affects 400-gram packages with UPC 8 11517 00240 7, lot number D14-24 13420, and a best before date of 2027.MA.28. The recalling firm is Dong Phuong Group Partnership.

According to the CFIA, the affected product was distributed to retail locations in Alberta, British Columbia, and Manitoba. The recall is classified as Class 2 by the agency.

The CFIA advises consumers, retailers, and food service establishments not to use, sell, serve, or distribute the recalled product. The notice lists the recall in the food - candy, confectionery, snacks and sweeteners category, identified as recall number RA-77794.
