Ontario Tech University President Receives King Charles III Coronation Medal in Bowmanville

Dr. Steven Murphy, President and Vice-Chancellor of Ontario Tech University, received the King Charles III Coronation Medal on January 11, 2025, during a presentation in Bowmanville. The medal was presented by Durham Member of Parliament Jamil Jivani.

According to Ontario Tech University, Dr. Murphy was recognized for his role in creating the Brilliant Catalyst and developing the Brilliant Energy Institute.

No information was provided by Ontario Tech University on the selection process for the King Charles III Coronation Medal or the number of recipients.
