Oshawa E-Bike Collision Sends Rider to Hospital; Vehicle Driver Charged

A 27-year-old man was seriously injured in a collision involving an e-bike and a vehicle at the intersection of Elmgrove Avenue and Cromwell Avenue in Oshawa on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at about 2:50 p.m., according to the Durham Regional Police Service.

Police stated the man was riding an e-bike eastbound on Elmgrove Avenue when a westbound vehicle made a left turn in front of him. The resulting collision caused the man to be ejected from the e-bike. He was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious, non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Members of the Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene to investigate. Police reported that the driver of the vehicle involved has been charged with Careless Driving Cause Bodily Harm.
