Oshawa to Host Community Vaccination Event for People and Pets on August 27
Residents in Oshawa can attend a community vaccination event on Wednesday, August 27, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to the Region of Durham. The event will take place at 1540 Ritson Road South, with the Region advising attendees to look for the Durham Region Transit bus at the roundabout.
The Region of Durham states that Health Department nurses will be present to assess immunization records and answer vaccine-related questions for people of all ages. The Region also reports that free routine vaccinations are available for eligible school-aged children during the event.
According to the Region of Durham, Vets Around the Corner will provide pet vaccinations and wellness examinations at a reduced cost. Community Paramedic services will be onsite, offering wellness checks and consultations on individual health needs, the Region states.
All services are available on a walk-in basis and no appointment is required, according to the Region of Durham.
