Oshawa Vaccination Event to Provide Health Services for People and Pets on August 27
A community vaccination event will take place in Oshawa on Wednesday, August 27, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to the Region of Durham. The event is scheduled for 1540 Ritson Road South, where a Durham Region Transit bus will be parked at the roundabout.
The Region of Durham states that this event aims to provide immunization and wellness services for both individuals and their pets, offering an opportunity for residents who require vaccinations or health consultations without an appointment.
According to the Region, Health Department nurses will be present to assess immunization records and answer vaccine-related questions for people of all ages. Routine vaccinations will be available free of charge for eligible school-aged children. Vaccinations and wellness examinations for pets will be provided by Vets Around the Corner at a reduced cost. The Region also notes that Community Paramedic services are expected to offer onsite wellness checks and health consultations. Walk-in participants are welcome at the event, and no appointments are required.
