Oshawa Woman Charged After Store Assaults, Police Report
A 43-year-old Oshawa woman was arrested on July 7, 2025, after Durham Regional Police responded to reports of assaults at a store near Laval Drive and Stevenson Road South in Oshawa. Police say the incident took place around 4:30 p.m. and began with the suspect physically assaulting a victim inside the store before turning on a second victim when officers arrived.
According to Durham Regional Police Service, the victims and the suspect did not know each other. Police report that both victims received medical attention for minor injuries following the incident.
Police stated that, during the intervention, the suspect attempted to take an officer’s firearm before being arrested. Amy Parsons, 43, of Oshawa, has been charged with three counts of assault with a weapon and one count of attempting to take a weapon from a peace officer. Police say she was held for a bail hearing.
