Overnight lane restrictions planned May 28 and June 2 at Thickson Road South and Dundas Street East in Whitby

Overnight lane restrictions are planned May 28 and June 2 at the intersection of Thickson Road South (Regional Road 26) and Dundas Street East in Whitby for road resurfacing.

The work could affect overnight travel through one of Whitby’s busier intersections, and the schedule may change if weather conditions are unfavourable.

Durham Region said the lane restrictions are needed to resurface the road.

The region said the work may be disruptive and that it intends to complete it as quickly as possible.

Durham Region is asking drivers to use caution around pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
