Pavao’s Pork & Chicken Sausage and Texas Hamburger Recalled for Undeclared Soy and Milk in Ontario
Pavao’s Meats & Deli has issued a recall for its Pork & Chicken Sausage (Alheiras) and Texas Hamburger products due to the presence of undeclared soy and milk, according to a notice published by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) on July 18, 2025. The recalled products were distributed for retail sale in Ontario.
The CFIA classified this recall as a Class 2 notification. According to the agency’s recall categories, a Class 2 recall is used when use of the product may cause temporary adverse health consequences.
According to the CFIA, the affected products are:
- Pavao’s brand Pork & Chicken Sausage (Alheiras), variable weight, with UPC numbers starting with 0205526, and all best before dates up to and including 25.OC.07.
- Pavao’s Texas Hamburger 6OZ, available in 4.59 kg and 1.36 kg sizes, with UPC numbers starting with 0201077, and all best before dates up to and including 26.JL.10.
The CFIA advises that these products should not be used, sold, served, or distributed. No information was provided in the notice about reported illnesses or further updates related to the recall.
