Police Charge Toronto Man in Clarington Sexual Assault and Forcible Confinement Case

A 22-year-old man from Toronto has been charged following an investigation into allegations of sexual assault and forcible confinement in Clarington, according to the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS).

Police stated that a woman reported being sexually assaulted and prevented from leaving a residence in Clarington. Following the report and investigation, officers arrested the suspect.

The man faces charges of sexual assault and forcible confinement. Police have not released the name of the accused.

According to DRPS, the investigation remains ongoing.
