Police Investigate Daytime Break-In at Ajax Residence

Police responded to a break-and-enter at a residence near Dexshire Drive and 5th Concession Road in Ajax on Monday, January 27, 2025, around 10:50 a.m. According to the Durham Regional Police Service, suspects entered the home through the rear patio door.

The incident is under investigation by the Durham Regional Police Service, who have released details and suspect descriptions based on surveillance footage and witness information.

Police stated that surveillance footage shows a male suspect knocking several times at the front door of the residence. Shortly after this, two male suspects are seen jumping the backyard fence and breaking the glass patio door using a hammer or similar tool. The suspects left the scene before officers arrived. Several personal items were reported stolen from the residence.

According to police, Suspect #1 is described as a male, approximately six feet tall, wearing a grey or black hooded jacket, grey or blue sweatpants, and black mid-top shoes, possibly Air Jordans. Suspect #2 is described as a male, about six feet tall with a thick build, wearing a black hooded jacket, dark or grey jeans, black shoes, and carrying a red and black duffel or tool bag. Police reported that the suspects were associated with a light-coloured Nissan SUV.
