Police Investigate Series of Linked Property Damage Cases in Pickering and Ajax

Durham Regional Police Service is investigating repeated property damage at two residential locations in Pickering and Ajax between December 2024 and May 2025. Police are seeking public assistance to identify the suspect, and believe the incidents are connected due to their similarities.

According to information from police, the cases involve multiple acts of vandalism directed at vehicles and property over several months. Investigators have linked the incidents based on their circumstances and timing.

Police report that, between December 30, 2024, and May 13, 2025, a male suspect targeted a residence near Alanbury Crescent and Lynn Heights Drive in Pickering on three separate occasions. In each incident, the same vehicle was vandalized. The damage included slashing tires, smashing a rear window, and firing pellets at the vehicle windows. Police describe the suspect as a white male, slender build, between 16 and 25 years old, wearing a black hoodie, grey jogging pants, and black and white shoes.

In another investigation, police state that between April 11 and May 3, 2025, a suspect targeted a residence near Ventura Lane and Ducatel Crescent in Ajax three times. Two of these incidents involved damage to vehicles. In the latest incident, the suspect reportedly fired pellets at the house, resulting in broken windows. The suspect in these cases is described by police as a white male, thin build, in his twenties, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, light-coloured jogging pants, and white shoes.

In all incidents, police say the suspect fled before officers arrived. Police are asking anyone with information to contact Detective Goldenberg of the West Division Criminal Investigative Branch.
