Police Report 37-Year-Old Woman Seriously Injured in Uxbridge Crash
A 37-year-old woman suffered what police described as life-altering injuries after a two-vehicle collision in Uxbridge on Sunday evening, according to the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS).
DRPS stated that officers were called to a collision on Davis Drive, east of Concession Road 6, shortly after 6 p.m. Police said a grey Subaru travelling west crossed the centre line and collided head-on with an eastbound silver Toyota.
Police reported that the 37-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the Toyota, was taken to a local hospital and later transferred to a Toronto-area trauma centre. The drivers of both vehicles also sustained injuries described by police as non-life-threatening.
The section of Davis Drive between Concession Road 6 and Regional Road 1 was closed for approximately eight hours for an investigation by DRPS's collision investigation unit. According to police, the investigation is ongoing, and they have requested that anyone with information or dashcam footage from the area at the time contact investigators.
