Police Search for Five Suspects After Swarming Assault at Oshawa Pizza Pizza

Five suspects are being sought by police after a swarming incident at Pizza Pizza at 199 Wentworth Street West in Oshawa in the early hours of July 2, 2025, according to the Durham Regional Police Service.

Durham police said the incident involved a group of young people who created a disturbance before one person jumped behind the counter and attempted to take an item. The individual was confronted by the victim, leading to a violent struggle. Police reported that during the struggle, several others also jumped behind the counter, swarmed, and assaulted the victim. The incident was recorded by store surveillance cameras.

The Durham Regional Police Service provided the following descriptions of the suspects:

  • Suspect 1: Female, Black, thin build, long braids, estimated to be 12-15 years old, wearing a grey t-shirt, grey spandex pants, and black sandals.
  • Suspect 2: Female, Black with a light complexion, thin build, black braids tied in a bun, 12-15 years old, wearing an orange hoodie, black leggings, and black shoes.
  • Suspect 3: Female, Black with a light complexion, thin build, black box braids, 11-12 years old, wearing a grey hoodie, black leggings, and black shoes.
  • Suspect 4: Male, White, slim build, wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and white shoes.
  • Suspect 5: Male, Black, slim build, wearing a black mask, black hoodie, black puffer vest, and black and white Nike Dunk shoes.

Durham police released an initial information bulletin regarding the incident on July 3, 2025. Police are asking anyone with information, who witnessed the incident, or who knows the identities of those involved to contact Detective Baldini of the Central East Criminal Investigations Branch. Police indicated that anonymous information can be submitted to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers.
