Police Search for Three Suspects After Ajax Shooting Injures Man
A man was shot and seriously injured in Ajax on Sunday, July 6, 2025, according to Durham Regional Police. Officers responded around 10:20 p.m. to a report of an armed person near Commercial Avenue and Hunt Street, where the man was found with a gunshot wound. Police said he was transported to a trauma centre in the Toronto area.
Durham Regional Police stated that their investigation found a verbal altercation occurred between the victim and three suspects prior to the shooting. Investigators reported that they believe the incident to be isolated.
Police released descriptions of the three suspects. The first suspect is a male, about six feet tall, last seen wearing a black baseball cap, facemask, hoodie, jeans, and black shoes. The second suspect is described as a heavy-built male, wearing a face mask and all black clothing. The third suspect is a male, wearing a face covering, hoodie, black pants, and light-coloured shoes. According to police, the suspects arrived in a grey four-door vehicle, with its make and model unknown.
