Police Searching for Five Suspects After Shots Fired in Pickering Home Invasion
Police are searching for five suspects after shots were fired during a home invasion in Pickering on May 22, 2025. According to the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS), the incident occurred at approximately 11:15 p.m. near Foxwood Trail and Bayfield Street.
The DRPS reported that five masked suspects, three of them armed with handguns, entered a residence. The suspects forced the occupants from the patio into the home at gunpoint. Once inside, the suspects searched the residence. During a confrontation, two gunshots were fired. One victim was grazed by a bullet and taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. Police said there were no other injuries.
Police described the suspects as five male Black individuals. They left the area in a dark-coloured sedan. Investigators stated they believe the incident is isolated at this time.
The DRPS asks anyone with cell phone, dash cam, or surveillance footage, or information about the incident, to contact Detective Obront of the West Criminal Investigations Branch. Police indicated that anonymous tips can also be submitted to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers online or by phone.
