Police Seek Public Assistance After Oshawa Shooting Incident
Police are seeking information after a shooting took place on Wednesday night in Oshawa. According to the Durham Regional Police Service, officers from Central East Division responded to an armed person call at approximately 10:15 p.m. on August 6, 2025, in the area of Albert Street and First Avenue. Officers located multiple shell casings in the area. No physical injuries were reported.
According to police, video surveillance showed a male running northbound on Albert Street while another individual began shooting at him. The police statement indicates both people left the area before officers arrived. Investigators believe the incident was isolated.
Police are asking any witnesses or those with video or dashcam footage from Albert Street, between First Avenue and Albany Street, between 10 p.m. and 10:20 p.m., to contact them.
