Police Seek Public Assistance in Ajax Convenience Store Theft Investigation
Police are seeking help to identify a male suspect after a theft at a convenience store in Ajax on January 1, 2025. The incident occurred around 3:40 a.m. at the Circle K at 460 Bayly Street West, according to the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS).
DRPS stated that the suspect entered the store, went behind the counter, and took several lottery tickets and cigarettes. Police report the suspect demanded the employee open the cash register and then took an undisclosed amount of cash before leaving. Officers arrived after the suspect had left the scene.
According to police, the suspect is described as a male wearing a black hoodie, grey trackpants, and black shoes, and was carrying a green grocery bag. Investigators have released a photo of the suspect, which is available at www.drps.ca.
