Police Seek Suspect in Oshawa and Pickering Credit Card Fraud Investigation

Police are seeking assistance to identify a man following several fraudulent credit card transactions in Oshawa and Pickering. The Durham Regional Police Service's Central West Division received a report about these incidents on July 18, 2024.

According to police, the victim's credit cards were used for multiple unauthorized purchases at locations throughout Oshawa and Pickering. Police have released a description and a photograph of the individual associated with the investigation.

Durham Regional Police describe the suspect as a male wearing a black baseball hat with a red and white logo, a grey hooded sweater, and white running shoes. A photo of the suspect is available on the police website at www.drps.ca.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident or who recognizes the suspect to contact Detective Constable Marchand of the Central West Criminal Investigations Branch. Anonymous tips can also be provided to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers, where tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward.

Police state the details provided are based on their investigation and that the allegations have not yet been proven in court.
