Police Seek Witnesses Following Hate-Motivated Graffiti Incident in Oshawa

Police are asking for witnesses following the discovery of hate-motivated graffiti in Oshawa on June 15. Officers from the East Division of Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) responded at approximately 2:50 p.m. to a report of property defacement in the area of Adelaide Avenue East and Townline Road North.

According to the DRPS, the incident is being investigated as a targeted act, with investigators stating the victim’s home was specifically selected. The graffiti contained hateful and derogatory slurs.

Police are encouraging anyone with information about the incident to contact Detective Constable Cronin of the East Division Criminal Investigations Branch. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers.
