Quebec Men Charged Following Stolen Vehicle Investigation in Clarington

Two men from Quebec were arrested in Clarington after Durham Regional Police located two stolen vehicles on Friday, June 6, 2025. According to police, officers responded at approximately 11:40 a.m. to a report in the area of Gibbs Road and Clarington Concession Road 7, where both vehicles were found and the drivers were arrested without incident.

Durham Regional Police identified those arrested as Kevin Lizotte, 35, and Maxime Paquette, 25, both from Quebec. Police stated that both individuals were charged with theft of a motor vehicle, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime for the purpose of trafficking exceeding $5,000, possession of an electronic device for motor theft, and unlawfully purchasing or possessing an automobile master key.

Police reported that both men were held for a bail hearing. The allegations are based on information from the police investigation and have not been proven in court.
